| Introduction | Rooted in an Amish Mennonite heritage, I spent 3 years teaching in El Salvador in the 1970's, and 5 years in China, where I met my husband, David. Since then, I have taught English, poetry, writing, and ESL classes at JMU and EMU. Now, we are in Port Said, Egypt for six months to teach and learn. I find it fascinating to try to make connections between all the various cultures and faiths I am privileged to observe. |
