| Introduction | My Photographs This is a selection of my photography. I have been taking photographs for about 5 years now. I use 2 Nikon bodies, the D70 and the D5000, with assorted lens including 18-55mm, 17-300mm and 50mm macro. I did belong to a Camera Club for a couple of years, but found that there wasnt enough of actually taking photos to hold my interest. I wanted to learn how to control shutter speeds and apertures. I wanted to get off the automatic setting on the camera and start to take control. So I kinda drifted away from the club and its been a while since I attended it. I finally did turn that dial off automatic and on to the A and S programmes. Then I experimented with manual focus. I enjoyed that the most I think. The next step is to fully take control and set both shutter speed and aperture toegther, along with manual focus. I'm getting a lot more enjoyment out of my photography now that I am not using the SLR like a point and shoot compact camera. I have jumped from photographing animals to insects to landscapes, whatever the mood takes me.Have a browse round the galleries and I hope you will find something to interest you. |
