| Introduction | As I watched Perry Mason as I child, I thought a court room was my calling. I now know those organized arguments were pushing me to another area, teaching. Teaching is my calling. As an educator in a urban setting I believe teaching is a proactive approach to conquering urban stereotypes. I strive to bring the things I learn to the children I teach, whether it is in a classroom, church or recreational setting. It is my hope as I move beyond the mastery level in education, I can provide my students with the skills to become a life long learner. |
