Introduction	I am a teacher, a writer and a reviewer of Canadian children's books. Needless to say, I love words, words, words. In addition to marking high school essays, I also like to grow radioactively large sunflowers and sleep in home-made igloos. My Mary's Atlas picture book series was a McNally Robinson bestseller and was featured in the Ottawa International Writers Festival's "Step into Stories" program. I also write for big people, and I've been published in sources such as The Globe and Mail. Currently, I'm working on a novel and my third picture book. It's a bit of a slow-go, though, because I'm very distracted by my new baby girl.
Interests	Writing, sleeping on islands, growing radioactively huge sunflowers, eating with chopsticks.
