| Introduction | Most people know me by who I am in relationship to someone else in my family. I'm Randy's wife, or "the pastor's wife", I'm Trinity's mom, Krista's mom, Lizzie's mom or Jordan's mom. This is not a bad thing -- it doesn't mean that I don't have an identity of my own -- but that my identity is wrapped up in those that I love. I am very much a part of the mobile called the Kay Family. But, who am I beyond my role in my family? I am a follower of Jesus. I am a writer. I am a reader. I like deep conversations, board games, long walks or drives. I don't do well living up to others' expectations and in fact I sometimes work hard at not fitting into anyone's mold. |
