| Introduction | Just clicked off 40 somethang the other day and still trying to surf everyday, excluding injuries.... I'm terribly addicted to building a sweet quiver of twin keels, quads, alternative boards that I can jump on at any given swell ~ Some of my fav shapers ~ Manolo, Rich, Zippi,etc. Grew up surfing Southbay point breaks and beach breaks, then I moved to Ventura County and found myself in midst of some of Cali's best breaks; working in South Santa Barbara and I felt like one of the luckiest guys in the world! I had several epic breaks close enough to my office (inside 5 mins.) and use to pull off nooner seshs almost daily (depending on conditions). I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, the company dried up and had to head north to "the city" to find my ultimate goal of working to surf. Now I'm loving everything about the city, the food, the bars and the people all good; but hating the surf selection up here...Frigid, sharky, a bit localized and GNARL on big days! Now I look forward to cheap ass fares from SFO to LAX to surf with my crew and travel internationally to get my fix on. |
