| Introduction | The goal of this proposed Capacity Building Project is to create an “Exposure, Exploration, Engagement, and Educator-preparation” pipeline for recruiting STEM majors to pursue a career in teaching STEM courses at the secondary level. The components involved in creating this pipeline would involve: 1) informational sessions and workshops describing STEM education and research in STEM education, 2) an undergraduate teaching assistant position (UTA), and 3) a STEM Undergraduate Research Educator (SURE) summer program. |
