| Introduction | I have been interested in history for most of my life. I started in Jr. High School as I became excited when I learned that the streams I fished had been trapped by the likes of Jim Bridger and Jedediah Smith. As my job took me to other parts of the USA, I walked the battlefields of the Civil War and the War of the Revolution. I had a 3rd great-grandfather in the latter conflict. I have stood where he was with his "rifle gun" at the battle of Guilford Courthouse in North Carolina in 1781. My great-grandfather was a Nauvoo Legionaire in the Utah War and his journal was part of the influence for my twenty year interest in that conflict. I stumbled onto the discrepancies in the cemetery five years ago while strolling among the markers and being surprised to see some for people I knew were buried elsewhere. |
