| Introduction | I am a married mom of two sons – Adam, 28, and Jacob, 20. I love to travel and have dragged my usually-unenthusiastic husband, Jim, and always-eager kids to 48 states and 18 different countries. (Which, in my opinion, should be 17, but “Vatican City” is listed as an actual nation, so who am I to dispute those in charge of such things?) I am employed occasionally – with occasionally being a rather generous term – as a freelance artist. I have worked in the art department of a publishing company, and as a reservation sales agent for Northwest Airlines. In addition, I can whip up a mean pizza, as my brother owns a pizzeria and I have spent countless hours there. I am very close to my extended family – there are 30 of us in all; including my mom, siblings, and their families. We get together often and share a lot of laughs. I have a fantastic group of friends, too, many of whom I have known since grade school. In 2009, Jim's job was relocated from MI to TX. We now have homes in both states and travel back and forth between them often. |
