IntroductionBorn in 1954 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He graduated with distinctions in printmaking and book illustration from the College for Advanced Technical Education, 1980. He worked briefly in advertising and was later commissioned as a freelance book illustrator. In 2008, presented a printmaking workshop in Sweden. He works in the medium of printmaking, charcoal drawing and acrylic on canvas. He exhibited on numerous solo, regional and overseas group exhibitions A poster design based on a print depicting the four corner stones of the life of Nelson Mandela, was included in the Official 95 International Mandela Poster Project and traveling exhibition. In 2014, he was recipient of the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Sponsor Choice Award for a woodcut entry towards the Wish You Were Here Selector’s traveling exhibition. In 2016, he was selected to be part of a local adjudication panel for the 97th Annual Exhibition, Port Elizabeth. During 2017 and 2018, he became recipient of an award from the Regional Department of Arts and Culture, Eastern Cape, for work submitted towards curated exhibitions, TRUTH BE TOLD and THE MEANING held in Port Elizabeth.
