Introduction	It's no secret that Disney has always incorporated strong gender roles in the characters of their films. Gender identity and the beliefs and values that they want their audiences to uphold are all reflected through these beloved characters. The films I will be discussing each reflect the gender stereotypes of the time periods in which they were created and how Disney has evolved these issues over the years. It is important to be aware of the amount of progress we have made as a society in projecting a certain set of values to the children these films are targeting. What examples are we setting for them? What examples are we not? What do these beliefs reflect in regards to the year they were made? How has society changed since?
