| Introduction | My name is Wendy and in February 2017 I fulfilled a life long dream and moved to the country. Although I was born and educated in Brisbane I've spent the majority of my adult life in and around the Gold Coast. I'm married to PH and have 3 grown up children and 7 grandchildren (6 boys & 1 girl ). I'd put off this move for a long time. There always seemed to be obstacles and obligations, as well as a deep seated fear I couldn't live away from the beaches and shopping malls. But late last year PH and I had a weekend away on Queensland's Granite Belt. While walking down Stanthorpes's main street we had a look in a realestate's window and I spotted a little house on acreage that really appealed to me. PH said "Nothing about that place appeals to me" so we made arrangements to view the property. The next day we put an offer in and it was accepted. We had both fallen in love with this little piece of cool paradise. In this Blog I hope to share my adventures, turning from Gold Coast glitter girl to self sufficient country girl.
