| Introduction | Fjoralba (Alba) Zguro is an Albanian pianist and doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she studies with Dr. Annie Jeng and serves as a Graduate Assistant. She grew up in Albania, winning top prizes in national and international competitions such as EPTA Albania, Ohrid’s Pearls, and Këngët e Tokës. She holds an Associate of Arts from Tyler Junior College, a Bachelor of Music from Baylor University, and a Master of Music from Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied with Dr. Sergey Schepkin and earned two Advanced Music Studies certificates in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy. Her artistic interests include exploring and promoting Albanian piano repertoire, researching underrepresented classical traditions, and engaging audiences through both performance and pedagogy. |
