| Introduction | This is my twelfth year teaching at Mark Twain Elementary as the Literary Development Center (LDC) teacher for grades Kindergarten through second. LDC is a language arts lab with a focus on creative writing. Students are encouraged to find their own voice as a writer. I previously taught Kindergarten for four years at Ashford Elementary. I have also worked as a mentor to several teachers through the School Literacy and Culture Project and I have taught for six years at the Summer Creative Writing Workshops. |
