| Introduction | John, Kemper is creatively retired, but frantically busy tracing the descendants of his namesake who arrived in Virginia in 1714 as part of the Germanna Colony for a forthcoming book. Over 18,000 found so far, including Mississippi River pirates, clergymen, politicians and of course horse thieves, but perhaps the last two are redundant. A frequent traveler who has flowm more miles than most pilots, he lives in the South Carolina low country and Europe and now blogs about traveling. |
