| Introduction | The Calcutta Management Association (CMA), one of the country’s first Regional Management Association and a prime mover behind the formation of its parent body, the All India Management Association, was founded in 1957 under the pioneering leadership of the legendary Sir Jehangir Ghandy as per the recommendations of a Committee constituted by the All India Council of Technical Education. The Committee advocated setting up of Regional Management Associations in major cities of India. The CMA was formed as the first institution of its kind in the country under the aegis of the Ministry of Education.
