Favorite movies	Zillions. But this probably sums up my tastes:, Almodovar, Coen Brothers, Altman
Favorite music	Mostly girls with guitars (yep - I'm that cliche):, Janis Joplin, Indigo Girls, Patrice Pike, The Be Good Tanyas, Rilo Kiley, Brandi Carlile, Tegan & Sara, Ani DiFranco, Dar Williams. I have love for some dudes too:, the Beatles, Beastie Boys, Grateful Dead, Kings of Leon, Neil Young, Old 97s, Weezer, Nirvana, other assorted '60s '70s and '90s rock bands (not too big on the '80s)
Favorite books	In Cold Blood, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Fingersmith, Middlesex, Bel Canto, anything by Erma Bombeck, The Elements of Style (Strunk & White. Recognize.), I am also going through the volumes of all of the Peanuts strips. They're pretty consistenly excellent.

Radio wire is often used to make bird nests. What station do they listen to?

Probably the local NPR affiliate. Birds seem like they would want to stay informed.
