| Introduction | Ever since I was a child in the 1950's, when my grandmother gave me a Kodak Brownie camera for my 6th birthday, I have loved taking pictures. Photography has always been a part of my life. No matter what else I was doing, I took along a camera and documented what I saw. And my favorites were always the beauty around me. All three of my sons were camera buffs, as well. When the youngest one studied photography in college, I learned from him. We set up a darkroom at our house and I continued to learn! As an elementary school teacher, I used the camera as a teaching tool. When I retired from teaching, I was finally able to do photography full-time. I like to take my camera with me where ever I go. I've taken several photography classes, but mostly I am self-taught and always experimenting and learning. I am so happy when others react in a positive way to my photos! I use a Nikon D7000 camera now, although I do have a collection of vintage cameras! It gives me no greater joy than to share my love of nature through my photography! |
| Interests | Besides printing and framing my photos, I love to turn them into blank note cards. I also have done a photo transfer technique to put them on light switch plates. |
