| Introduction | John Hufferd is the primary consultant for Hufferd Enterprises. John has over 40 years in the storage and networking industries. During this period he worked for IBM where, among other things, he was focused on Storage Controllers and Storage Networking Strategies. John also worked for Brocade Communications where he was the Senior Executive Director of Technology in the Office of the CTO. In this position he was responsible for defining Brocade’s technology direction and strategy of storage networks including iSCSI, FC, FCoE, and NAS (CIFS, NAS). John is a member of the IETF, the IBTA (InfiniBand Trade Association), and the T11 Fibre Channel Standards Group – FC-BB-5/6 Workgroup which is actively focused on FCoE. In addition, John has also been on the Board of Advisors for 7 different companies. As a member of the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) John was the Technical Coordinator for the iSCSI Track for IP Storage Working group where he was a significant player in the definition of iSCSI (internet Small Computer System Interconnect). He has also been a key individual in defining FCoE (and now, its follow-on) for the T11 FC-BB-5 and BB-6 working groups. |
