| Introduction | At age 19, although I was running very quickly away from Him, God got a hold of me. He opened my heart...and shut down my car (long story), and the rest is history. Since then I married my lovie Austin, and am a dog mom to my pookie, Lola. At this point the Lord has made me passionately in love with the process of helping spiritually young believers grow in their love and knowledge of Him. I read a book not long ago, which directed me to find out what my name meant. Melissa means Honeybee in Greek. I thought...Ok? What am I suppose to do with this? As I researched honeybees, my heart began to race! Most honeybees spend their entire lives seeing to it that the larvae are fed, and are developing properly. They carry nutrients constantly to the hive to feed them, and even fan them when their temperatures get too high. And when they sting you…they are doing it to protect those young ones…and guess what…they die shortly after. What a lesson in Christianity! (My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.-Proverbs 24:13-14) |
