Introduction	My name is Jarred James Breaux. My mother named me Jarred after a friend's son, who lived near them before I was born. She liked the name and alternative spelling of the name. My middle name comes from St. James the Greater, one of the earliest disciples of Jesus and the brother of St. John the Evangelist. In accordance with Catholic tradition, my mother chose a Saint name as a middle, who acts as my patron Saint. My last name is my father's family name which has a long rich Cajun history. My mother's maiden name is White and I carried her last name for a few months after I was born (because my parents were not legally married when I was born). My mother's father is Cherokee from Oklahoma City.
