| Introduction | My friends have changed me in different ways. They have taught me to listen and think about questions they ask me instead of just saying whatever comes to mind. That could hurt feelings and I don’t want to do that. My friends also taught me that I can be myself around them I don’t need to act like somebody else for them to like me, they like me for who I am. One of my friends told me that if I changed myself so I that someone could like me then she would be really sad. She likes me for who I am and I shouldn’t try to make someone like me by becoming what they want me to become. That’s not fair to me or my other friends. Besides I’m not a puppet that someone can attach strings to and make me dance. I wanna dance my own dance. |
