Introduction My Personal Preparedness wake-up call was “Y2K”. I knew then that we citizens are in for some very bad times because of forced reliance on technology. The internet, computers, cell phones and now Alexa, the biggest evil of all for our privacy. At that time I immediately began stocking-up with the basics of rice, beans, flour, pasta, can meats, can soups, can sauces, water, cooking fuels, propane camping stove with a oven, a rocket stove, a generator and a small RV as an alternative shelter including some solar panels. From 2000 until 2008, I belonged to several forums and quickly found many of their comments were filled with illogical and questionable results. They lacked testing and verifying of their results, these commenter’s are found typically in poorly run forums. I call them ‘Keyboard-Commandos’ because they are dangerous and lonely people. 2008 was when I started Living Prepared, a blog meant to fill those voids. Living Prepared is a teaching blog, a resource of preparedness topics, and self-reliance information that has been tested and use for my own disaster survival. All the topics I covered so far are listed in my right side-bar.
Interests Self-Reliance, Self-defense, Pioneer Lifestyle, Survival Methods, Gardening, Canning, Long Term Food Storage, Target Shooting, Living Free from Government Interference, Frugal Living, Solar Power, Off-Grid Living, RV Living.
