| Introduction | I grew up in Northern California playing Tennis. I accepted a scholarship to a Junior College in Laredo, Texas because of the Spanish influence that existed there. While there I ranked #25 nationally in Junior College tennis. I worked in the College Learning Center as a Math Tutor where I met my husband. Both of us finished up all we could in Laredo and transferred to UT El Paso. A year later we got married.-- Though originally studying music with a concentration in piano for 3 years, I went on to get my degree in Mathematics & minor in Spanish. I worked as a Math teacher in the past, however, shortly after my second child was born, we decided it was more important for me to be home with the kids. At this time I chose to tutor out of my home.-- I always wanted to be a Lawyer, but didn't care to sacrifice a family to attain it. Despite this, I feel I've become a lawyer in my own right as I ensure my kids receive an appropriate education with their disabilities. Some terms professors have used to describe me were determined, tenacious, and bull headed. As I fight the battle for my kids, these words ring out, though I wish I didn't have such an intense need to apply them. |
