IntroductionI am one who is loved by God and so are you! I have been married to Charles for over 36 years. We have two adult children and one son-in-love and a daughter-in-love. I returned to school in 2000 to become an ASL Interpreter. Upon gradation I realized my skill was not what it should be, so I transferred to Gardner-Webb University in the fall of 2003---after God made it clear that was His plan. I commuted to GWU from Asheville for the next 9 semesters and graduated the fall of 2008 with an ASL Studies major and Interpreting minor. On March 18, 2008, God called me to "coordinate the adoption of deaf orphans in the world." In 2009, Signs for Hope, Inc. was born. I have traveled to Liberia, West Africa annually to love on and work with the Deaf orphans there and through Signs for Hope I am supporting, advocating for and encouraging numerous families as they follow God's call to adopt Deaf children. We also partner with Orphan Voice in Vietnam for "family preservation", teaching 9 deaf students at the New Beginnings School for the Deaf and their families VSL. These children, ages 8 - 17 had no formal language or education prior to the opening of this school in November 2014.
