| Introduction | • Art and Color are my passion. Creating Art provides me with Meditation and Calm from the stresses of everyday life. It is my Zen, my Retreat, my Soul. • I have been drawing most of my life, but took my first watercolor workshop 8 years ago, and have supplemented that first class with many more as well as acrylic and Plein Air workshops • I have an ongoing love affair with watercolor, but use many types of media, including colored pencil, ink, acrylic, pastel, and collage, alone or with watercolor. I find excitement in experimenting with new techniques, colors and media. One of my favorite watercolor techniques is pouring on the color, and letting the pigments make magic on the paper. • My subjects are widely varied, from Wildlife and Figures to Still Life and Florals. I let my instincts rule and paint what I feel • My personal goals as an artist are to continually expand my knowledge, to experiment and enjoy the process of discovery, to share the amazement and passion I feel as I paint from my heart, and if I can bring a smile to a face, or a spark of joy to a heart, then my mission is completed. |
