| Introduction | Amanda Schuster is a born and bred New Yawkah, who doesn’t speak in the accent, only occasionally writes in it. She earned her certification from the American Sommelier Association in 2006 and a graduate marketing certification in 2011, with a focus on e-commerce and social media. She is a media marketer, writer and editor for a portfolio of spirits brands and restaurants. As the Senior Editor in Chief of Alcohol Professor, she oversees an online magazine dedicated to wine, beer and spirits, which is connected to the NY International Beverage Competitions, but is also very much its own brand from the perspective of beverage industry insiders. In the past, she worked as a retail booze buyer (Astor Wine and Spirits, Morrell), and writer and promoter for various online publications and brands. She is also an accomplished metalsmith, jewelry designer and classically trained pianist with a Medieval History degree - but who's counting? |
