| Introduction | Life is a funny thing... Recently, an old friend has come back into my life. When I was young, I enjoyed art, and might have even been good at it, but life gave me other directions. 'No money for artists,' I recall my parents telling me. 15 years later, I found myself working on interior design for restaurants, hotels, chain stores, marketing plans, and promotion posters. Suddenly, I realize that friend I thought I'd lost had crept back into my life, without me even realizing. I laugh about this with my parents who are just as suprised as I to see me doing well with something both art and practical at the same time. So, I have returned to my interests in art, and to the Art Institue, which opens my eyes, and shows me doors to possibilities I'd long though lost. Now I'm 30 something, and who knows where art will take me. But of one thing I am sure, I'm back to where I belong. love+ |
