| Introduction | I was just a kid in the 70s, and life back then (in my house, anyway) revolved around the television. It's nostalgia, I suppose, pure and simple, but that don't make it less powerful. Look, I can't help that much of my present world-view is a result of having spent my formative years in front of a TV, but perhaps, with your help, we can work out what it means to be a child of the seventies living in the twenty-first century. Twice every week (Monday &; Friday) I'll screen some jem from the period and then blog the connection between it and my nerdly, egg-headded grad student life. Like it says at the bottom of the blog page, part of my grad student life is keeping up this blog; it's a class assignment, and a labor of love. |
