Introduction	Ven. Geshe Sonam Gyurme was born at Noryoung(Tibet) to parents Chi Norsang & (father) & Sonam Choesang (mother) At the age 18 he ordained monk hood in the year 1985 and took the Getsul (Sramanera) vow from Venerable Jamyang Lodoe Rinchen. In the year 1986 he joined Sera Jey Monastery and enrolled for the monastic academic course to study Buddhist Philosophy. In the same year, he took the Gelong (Bikshu) vow from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He successfully completed the monastic academic course on the Five Treatises of Buddhism in the year 2002, and received Geshe award on 19th November 2003. He has performed retreats on Yamantaka, Hayagriva & Palden Lhamo (Shri Devi). He has written reference books on some of major Buddhist topics 1. Commentary on Abhidhamakosha, 2.Graduated Path to Enlightenment, 3. Eight Point Mind Training, 4. Praise to the Great Compassion, 5. Monastery display for Nuns and 6. The Advise of three vows. He has good record in monastic discipline & hard working nature. He is now invited by Taiwan Sera Jey Omniscience Dharma Academy for Dharma teaching & activities.
