Introduction My name is Tomica O Kipp and I am a graduate of CUNY Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Arts in English and a Minor in American Studies. Writing is simply my passion. When I was about six years old, my mother gave me a journal and from that moment I fell in love. After graduating from High School, I wanted to nurture my love for writing and my passion for print journalism. As a journalism student, I interviewed some of the biggest newsmakers in New York City such as Mayor Michael Bloomberg, New York City Council Members Gail Brewer and Charles Barron just to name a few. During my short writing career, I was also a regular reporter at New York City Hall and the Criminal Court House. Now that my college years are behind me, I was inspired to start a new chapter with Omeagan. Omeagan is an online news source that I created to nurture my craft and to share some of my writings. Even though Omeagan is house by Blog spot, don’t be mistaken, this site is dedicated to covering real news and giving a voice to those who are voiceless.
