Introduction Cathie Haynes lived in rural residential West Sonoma County, California, for over 30 years. In 1990, after a 25-year career as a critical care R.N., college professor, and cardiac rehabilitation nurse, an auto immune disease offered an opportunity to alter her life. Her practice of BE-ing Rooted began in 1993 at MuRefuge, lasting for over a quarter of a century. MuRefuge flourished as a native ecological habitat. Then having spent 3 1/2 years in urban Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she created a native plant and organic edible forest, she has now returned to sea level for her health and well BEing. In recovery from the major upheaval during the pandemic, her resilience is supporting her BEing in a town with a similar population in which she grew up and where many "like minds" also live . As she reconnects deeply with Mother Earth and focuses on creating another native plant and food forest her BEing is once again flourishing. Now allowing time for stillness each day is deepening her BEing.
