Introduction	I am a microbial ecologist living in Canada. I'm mostly invested in academics and two little girls right now, but I like to think that in the future I'll have more opportunity to pursue writing, and cooking. For now, this blog keeps these interests alive and will hopefully act as a forum to develop some of the not-strictly-academic interests I have surrounding food, microbes and human culture.
