Introduction | I’ve been very fortunate. I’ve had two careers doing what I love: geosciences and information technology. My first career was in geosciences. I studied geology and geophysics at the University of Arizona in Tucson. I worked as a mineral exploration geologist throughout the western United States. Later, I worked as a petroleum exploration geophysicist covering Colombia, South America. My second career, information technology, beginning in 1987, provided and continues to provide many challenges and successes. I especially enjoy building and leading results-oriented teams. The teams I’ve built and led spanned countries, continents, and cultures. I consider myself a business professional who knows IT. I enjoy working closely with C-level and other senior executives to deliver innovative value-oriented solutions that realize the business vision and strategy. My successes: I co-founded Keane, Inc.’s e-Architecture Strategic Practice. As a World Community Grid volunteer, I initiated efforts to establish a grid-computing research effort for HIV/AIDS titled Fight AIDS At Home. I co-founded and am now Secretary for the Northeast Ohio chapter of IASA (NEO-IASA). 2010MAR02 |
