| Introduction | I love to play in my garden. I grow my own veggies and either can or freeze them for later use.. all the peppers I use in my pepper jams, All the tomatoes in my relishes are also grown in my garden.. I don't have a large yard, so there are many garden patches around the yard..I also have a very calming Koi pond and waterfall. I have had weddings, a luau, a mardigras bash and too many cookouts to count. My yard is a fun relaxing place to be..oh there is an outside kitchen and fire pit also... I love to cook and for years I said "I am a cooker not a baker" but as years have gone by and the kids are all grown I find it better to let them cook for me (with the exception of the holidays ) and all I do is bake. Cookies are not one of my strengths.I can burn a batch standing in front of the oven. I have always had the desire to learn decorating technics just never took the time to go and do it.. Well I finally enrolled in a Wilton class And I will learn how to make roses.. I have had so much fun and I am looking forward to working with gum paste and fondant.. |

| Favorite books | Book of Mormon , Wiltons yearbooks. and my favorite is the 1950's version of The Betty Crocker Cookbook. I also have a great collection of ethnec cookbooks. I also have a collection of recipes that I have collected over the years as well as a friends mothers favorites. The cookbooks that have been assembled for fundraising are my all time favorites. I still have one from a scholarship fund raiser from 1959 the year I graduated from High School. |
