| Introduction | I am a Religious Studies and Arabic Undergrad student at the University of Texas at Austin. I studied and lived in Sana'a, Yemen at the Yemen Center for Middle Eastern Studies throughout the summer of 2009. While I was there, I collected oral histories of women and just generally explored the area. Now, I am back at UT, and have continued my research in the area, and plan to complete my thesis within the year that will discuss the issue of homosexuality in the Arabian Peninsula. |
