Introduction An actor and filmmaker, Sani Mu'azu has worked with international film directors, Mike Reburn, (Soweto 1987) Bruce Beresford (Mr Johnson 1990) on a number of film projects and directed many local television programmes and home movies. Sani just completed a movie, HAAJA - Damaged Merchandise which was premiered by the First Lady of Nigeria, Haj Turai Yar'adua at the state house, Aso Villa. The movie, which highlighted a women's social challenge, VVF, was well recieved by the viewers attracting rubust comments and appreciation. One of the home movies, HAFSAH 2007, produced and directed by Sani Mu'azu sold more than 80,000 copies (and is still selling) making it the highest selling hausa home movie of all time. Release of the movie attracted so much controversies especially in Kano, Nigeria resulting in court litigations. Sani is currently the national president of Motion Picture Practitioners' Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) and a member of the steering committee of the Motion Picture Council of Nigeria (MOPICON). Mr. Mu'azu was the Executive Producer of the British Council's Reel Dialogues project. He is also the MD/CEO of Lenscope Media based in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
