| Introduction | I'm black and I am female. My neck doesn't roll when I talk and "You go GIRL!" is not a part of my everyday speech. That doesn't make me bourgie. And what is acting white? I will not be bare foot and pregnant. I have dark skin but I don't have a complex. I also don't have a big butt. BET is not my favorite channel. My confidence is not arrogance and I will not apologize for it. If I relax my hair that doesn't make me any less black and if I wear it in its natural state, no, you can not touch it. I am the captain of my ship and master of my destiny. I don't want to be your video chick. I am black and I am female. I am not on the bottom of the totem pole. |
