| Introduction | Setting up a nursery and cutting garden was something that I had always wanted to do, as I enjoy growing all manner of different plants and flowers. Lucikly last year we had the opportunity to begin to make the dream a reality and so Whinwhistle Nursery and Cutting Garden was born. With the help of my husband, Chris and son, Tom we began to start putting our plans into actions with raised beds going in and extra greenhouses being constructed. As early as February this year I was able to start sowing the seeds ready for the summer. Fast forward 5 months and the nursery has really taken shape. I have all manner of different plants ready to be sold and have even begun to start growing for next year! There are a few bits and pieces still being worked on and I am very hopeful that we will be ready to open with everything completed on July 20th 2013. We are already selling some plants at the front gate all day every Saturday, Sunday and in the afternoons on a Tuesday and Thursday. The stock is always changing so please feel free to pop past and have a look! |
