| Introduction | I'm Justin Striebel, and I'm a native of suburban St. Louis. I was raised on the Blues, Rams, and especially the Cardinals. I love them all. Born to University of Illinois alumni, I lived my dream, first studying graphic design at Illinois and subsequently working as a designer for the Illini. I have since moved on to Auburn University. Though I am a designer, I have always enjoyed writing, especially about sports. This isn't my first foray into writing about St. Louis area sports, but hopefully it will be my most successful. Because I am employed by the athletics department of an NCAA member institution, I am restricted from discussing the recruitment of any unsigned prospective student-athlete, regardless of their interest or lack thereof at my current school. I believe there is plenty to cover about the Illini as they are currently assembled, and it is my intention to do just that. Despite my biases and restrictions, I intend to write with a balanced and critical perspective. My new colleagues here at STL Sports Minute can vouch for that perspective.
