| Introduction | A little about me. I've been quilting since I was in my 20's, so that translates to "a really long time". I think what I enjoy most about quilting is the ablility to continually create new combinations of colors and textural designs. Something very therapeutic about playing with fabric. I suppose painters may say the same thing about playing with paints. I have a very understanding husband, who figured out right off the bat that he was getting a package deal - the wife and her quilting habit. Evidenced by my engagement gift from him - a brand new Husqvarna Viking sewing machine. Smart man, and one of the many reasons I've kept him around for 30 years! That, and he puts up with all my excentricities, and that speaks volumes. Have three very lovely daughters, none of which have the quilting bug, but a couple do show some promise. I'm a nurse by trade, and have lived all over the United States - west coast, midwest, and east coast. I love the outdoors, hiking, staying fit, reading, horseback riding, my dogs, and most of all quilting and embroidery. |
