| Introduction | As Associate Producer of FED UP (executive producers Katie Couric, Laurie David et al), I supported director Stephanie Soechtig and producers by providing in-depth research and fact-checking throughout the production and post-production process. Drawing on over two decades of interdisciplinary doctoral work in public policy, college teaching, social activism, and media, my responsibilities also included locating supporting archival footage (congressional hearings, policy forums, news reports, interviews), communicating regularly with subjects and parents, as their contact; writing requests for potential interviews and interacting with numerous top experts and potential interviewees. Raised in Tucson, AZ, I earned an Honors English/Pre-med degree at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies at University of Arizona, concentrating in Media Studies, Law and Public Policy. I also earned a Certificate in Film Production at NYU and studied film production management at Colorado Film School. I have taught at University of Arizona, Regis University in Denver, and Mount St. Mary's College in Los Angeles. |
