| Introduction | I am am an African- American/Puerto Rican mixed-media art quilter who has been quilting since 1997. I started out as a traditional quilter and slowly became a mixed-media art quilter over the years. My art work is definitely inspired by my cultural background and how I perceive the world around me. Since 2004, I have been the President of Quilters of Color Network of New York. I also teach mixed-media art quilt technique classes at various NY/NJ quilting guilds as well as at The City Quilter quilt shop in NYC. |
