| Introduction | I am the founder and owner of Phenomenal Women Designs,I am a fashion designer specializing in elegant wedding gowns, art coats and unique, soft accessories for special occasions. I am the creator of the Kissbag, a pyramid shaped evening bag that has been described as "the shape of things to come; a bag for a new millennium." My specialty bags are now being carried by such Hollywood luminaries as Camryn Manheim, Cher, Star Jones of ABC's The View, and Dame Judy Dench. Born in Rabat, I have lived around the globe and has landed in the South Carolina low country. I have been creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind wedding and evening apparel and accessories for over twenty-five years. I have also designed costumes for theater and film. I am also passionate about my textile art. I create goddess dolls that speak to a need, challenge or triumph in your life, and I do fiber art murals, that are "griot" in nature. . I want the viewer to come away changed for the better after having experienced my work. I want my art to make you feel informed, I am not at all interested in creating art that matches your funiture. |
