| Introduction | I am a writer, a mother, and an advocate for children with autism. A former teacher and a Hofstra graduate, my entire life changed when all three of my boys were diagnosed with autism. I am as active as I can be in the autism community, and was recently chosen as Hofstra University's alumni of the month. I live with my husband Ralph in Long Island, NY.
