Introduction	ABOUT RCIA/ADULT RELIGIOUS ED The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is a process where interested adults or older children are gradually introduced through the Roman Catholic faith and way of life. Here at Santa Maria Addolorata, the RCIA/Adult Religious Ed program is designed for adults 18 and over who are: (1) unbaptized, or (2) baptized in another Christian faith but wish to become Catholic, or (3) baptized Catholics who have not yet received the sacraments of First Communion or Confirmation, who received little or no instruction in the Catholic faith as children. Classes in English and in Spanish begins in October. If you are interested, please contact the rectory at 312-412-3122.
