| Introduction | We'll keep this basic. By day, I'm a Special Ed. Teacher who is thrilled by the little things that life has to offer. If you show me stuff imprinted with Sanrio's Chococat I just might squeal. I have been told that I have an old soul by numerous people, but I constantly live in the mental state of a 7 year old. I have ADD (before it was trendy, thank-u-very-much) and am annoyed by people who CLAIM to have it when they flub something. So, what do y'all need to know about me? Let's see...I totally dig all art forms, suffer from occasional bouts of "unofficial narcolepsy," and actually get full eating crabs. In college I carried a lunchbox for a purse, and was proud of it. In 2003 I single handedly and unsuccessfully tried to resurrect usage of the word "rad." OH! I also have a plump, mischievious cat who's just the bees knees (and wondering why I'm currently paying more attention to my computer than him)! My super-cute fiancee claims to hate the lil' bugger, but I have proof that states otherwise. I also adopted an adorable red Doberman Pinscher who's just AMAZING! He's practically attached to me at all times. If you know me, this IS basic. Ch-Ch-Cha-CHIA! |
| Interests | God, my family, my man, my pets, my peeps, music, yoga, art, crafty things, fuzzy slippers, cookouts, dark comedies, dancing, good salad bars, chunky jewelry, unique home decor, staring into space, using a coaster, finely crafted foreign vehicles, amusement parks, patient people, gardening, the phrase "blah-ba-de-blah," cartoons, school supplies, pretty bugs, smiling, fruit, people who use spell check, camping, and Sherpas. |
| Favorite movies | National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Spaceballs, Rize, Garden State, Crash, Edward Scissorhands (or anything by Tim Burton for that matter), Happiness, American Beauty, Love Jones, each and every Spike Lee Joint (but nothing beats out Do Tha Right Thing), Kevin Smith films (except Jersey Girl...blech), Audrey Hepburn flix, Basketball Diaries, Lucky Number Sleven and anything with Denzel Washington, Lorenz Tate or Don Cheadle...there are most definitely more dark, arty films out there that have peaked my interest...just can't for the life of me remember their names. |
| Favorite music | Whatever catches my ear...mostly old school and concious hip-hop (Pharcyde, Tribe, Leaders of the New, Poor Righteous Teachers, Das-Efx, The Roots, Digital Underground...I could go on and on to the break of dawn :0), Neo-Soul, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, Blues (Lightning Hopkins, John Lee Hooker), Jungle, & a mismosh of other stuff like Frou Frou, Jean Grae, Bjork, Go-Go (awwwww, DC!) and most older Baltimore Club (a la Peanut Butter Jelly Time). |
