| Introduction | The new title of my blog is from a poem by Octavio Paz, the Nobel Prize winnng Mexican poet. It means more or less "My share of time and paradise." The previous title of my blog (when we thought we were going to Cameroon) came from Mary Kingsley, who traveled in West Africa in the late 1800s. She said that in England people were so surprised by her that they saw her as the sea serpent of the season. The views here do not express the views of Peace Corps or the United States Government.
