| Introduction | Background: I have taught German for 19 years; three were in New Port Richey, Florida, where I was awarded the German Teacher of the Year for the State of Florida in 1997, 8 in Atlanta, Georgia, where I taught German, served as a mentor teacher as well as coaching volleyball and track. I moved to Pennsylvania in the summer of 2006 and this is my eighth year at Wissahickon. I have taught all levels of German, including Advanced Placement. I am a member of many professional organizations and currently serve as Deutschfest Director of the Philadelphia and Delaware Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German. I have participated with my students in a school-to-school exchange for 19 years in addition to activities related to German Club and German Honor Society. |
