Introduction	When Sally and I were on our first cruise up and down the coast of Norway, I started sending daily postcards to my mother, who was 98 at the time. It was a running diary of where we were, what we saw and what we were doing. I think all the family that lived around her enjoyed reading them. These are my Postcards to you. You may wonder about the Name I've chosen, Observant Traveler. It's not because I'm orthodox, but because I'm an astronomer. When we formed our astronomy club in 1996, I suggested the name "Laramie Astronomical Society and Space Observers", so the acronym was LASSO. It was also a bit of a joke, because our email address became LASSO@lariet.net. And it obviously fit with the western theme. And I hope it is a reminder that I want to consciously observe what is going on around me. Traveler is fairly obvious, as this will primarily be a diary about my travels, especially with the motorhome or travel trailer. Sadly, what this won't have is pictures of Sally. But maybe this is a way I can send her postcards also. BTW - Read down to Day 0. Its there under Rememberance of Things Past and down to February, 2022.
